Polish Stamp Foundation

Museum project, philatelic heritage, and collection stewardship for Poland and the Polish diaspora.

Donate a Collection

A well-built stamp collection deserves a future equal to its value. The Foundation speaks with collectors and families who want to protect a collection from dispersal, neglect, or accidental liquidation.

What can be donated

  • stamp collections and full sheets
  • envelopes, letters, and postcards
  • study and documentary material
  • family archives connected with philately
  • objects with historical, collecting, or documentary value

What the first contact looks like

The first step is never a rushed decision. It is a calm conversation about the nature of the collection, its history, its scale, and the expectations of the owner or family. Only after that do we consider the next steps.

Why collectors contact the Foundation

Most often, the question is not only about market value. It is about what should happen to a stamp collection so that decades of work do not lose their meaning. The Foundation wants to be a place where such a collection receives proper care and a lasting public context.

For families and heirs

This page is also for families who have inherited a collection and want to make a thoughtful decision about its future. Not every collection should be dispersed. In many cases, it is worth first having a calm conversation about what it means.

A short message with basic information about the collection is enough to begin.

That is a good first step toward a more serious conversation.
